Berowra FC Photo Day - Important Details

Hi Managers & Coaches,

I hope most of you already know that the annual club Junior Photo Day is on Sat 3rd June (Today). Photos will be taken by GS Imaging.

A general email also went out to all juniors.

I have managed to catch up with a lot of teams this week but for those I missed, you can pick up your photo information pack from the clubhouse any time Today from 7:30am

The photo pack is just an ordering envelope for collection of money from anyone that pays cash on the day of the photos.

The only real preparation you need to do for the day is fill out the names of the players in your team on the back of the envelope and get everyone there on-time.

Please include all players even if they are not purchasing a photo and even if they aren’t present on photo day. At least this way their name will appear on the team photo. Clear writing & spelling please as no one likes their name to be printed incorrectly.

There’s also a small flyer outlining the options for photo purchase that you can hand to each player/parent, however all of this information is also on-line at www.gsimaging.com.au and attached here

Photo ordering options as follows...

1. Cash in the envelope on the day

2. Pre pay on-line at www.gsimaging.com.au

Note the club has arranged for GS Imaging to kindly supply two free team photos per team, nominally for the coach and manager.

This is a small thank you for your efforts during the year and your help arranging the team for photo day.

(There’s been some confusion about this in the past due to different companies doing the photo day having offered different packages.)

For those teams with more than two team officials, I trust you can work out who gets the freebie as we can’t expect a third or fourth free.

PLEASE NOTE

Due to the construction happening near the clubhouse, photos this year will taken in the area between the Community Centre and northern end of Berowra Oval.

This should hopefully make it a lot easier for everyone to get in and out of the place.

The forecast is good so hopefully no rain – otherwise we will use the undercover car park area.

The full schedule is can be found here. This is the photo time, so please ask players to be there 10 minutes ahead of time in their full Berowra kit.

I have taken into consideration when and where each team is playing so the photo time doesn’t affect your game preparation and doesn’t consume too much more of your day.

Apologies to those teams that have a Bye or Sunday game on this weekend but hope you understand that we can only have the photographers out on one day.

I’ve double checked the list but if you feel I’ve made an error that will impact your team please let me know. I don’t think I’ve missed any team!

I’m hoping that all teams have a photo taken regardless of the level of interest in ordering photos, as GS Imaging is also providing a photo record of 2017 teams for the club so we’d like all teams included.

Thanks for your help. A little bit of effort for a great lifetime memory. I still have my photos from the 70’s and 80’s – I just wish they’d put player names on them back then.

Berowra FC U6 to U8 Player Development Program - 2017

For many years, those involved in Junior teams on the Berowra FC Committee have been grappling with the issue of how to improve the player development opportunities and options available locally at a reasonable cost.

In 2011, we partnered with T3 Australia (then known as Football Sydney Group) to encourage them to run their grassroots skills clinics in Berowra. This has been very successful and after much debate, and significant efforts to gain access to Warrina Oval on Mondays, we made the commitment in 2016 to provide this service as an inclusive fortnightly training session for all U6 and U7 players and coaches with only minimal increases in fees. This year we are pleased to not only continue this initiative, but maintain the program for all this year’s U8 teams.

If you would like further information please contact either Lee Surace on 0438 248 880 or Tass Meli on 0419 972 716. You can also email via the links on the club website www.berowrafc.org.au

Berowra FC Under 9 Player Development Program - 2017

Berowra FC is pleased to announce a new initiative to establish the first Berowra FC Under 9 Development Squad for Season 2017.

The development squad will be limited to 18 players selected through the upcoming grading process on Sun 12th Feb. The selected players will train with a dedicated T3 qualified coach for 16 weeks over the season. These players will form two separate teams for Saturday matches as normal. These teams will still have their own Berowra FC volunteer Coach and Manager who will be expected to run a second training session each week and be responsible for their team on match day.

Please be aware that due to the coaching fees associated with this program there will an added cost for the 18 players in this program which the Club is only able to partially subsidise. An additional cost applies to selected players to cover coaching fees however the club will subsidise a significant portion of this fee, reducing the player costs to an additional $100 above the usual U9 registration fee. We realise that any added costs are a burden but in comparison to other programs we believe the overall cost for 16 hours of qualified coaching over the season represents good value.

The club is providing the subsidy in recognition of the benefit these programs bring to the whole club but hope that all understand that it is only fair that the players gaining most of the benefit bear most of the cost. We could not justify increasing all U9 player fees to cover the cost of the Development Squad and we are unable to offer the program to all U9’s. There are still user pays T3 and NSFA coaching clinics open to all interested players each term within the Hornsby-Berowra area and we will continue to promote these.

If you would like further information please contact either Lee Surace on 0438 248 880 or Tass Meli on 0419 972 716. You can also email via the links on the club website www.berowrafc.org.au
